Job Description:

A fast-paced University Hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage. Compact and beautiful, Burlington is home to a thriving arts scene, museums and educational opportunities, and great shopping! This position requires working five 10-hour shifts per week and involves providing general anesthesia, intubation, IV placement, and occasional spinal or epidural anesthesia for post-operative pain. Procedures may also include arterial and central line placements. Non-operating room assignments may include interventional radiology, electrophysiology (excluding SVTs), and general or interventional endoscopy. There are always faculty anesthesiologists and a clinical director available for support. This role does not involve nerve blocks or obstetric anesthesia. Dates Needed: June - Ongoing Call Ratio/Schedule: N/A Case Load/PPD: General anesthesia, intubation, IV placement, spinal, epidural for post-op pain is rare, arterial line, central line.
