The Assistant Nurse Director of Post-Anesthesia Care Unit will directly report to the Nurse Director of Post-Anesthesia Care Unit. This individual must provide daily updates regarding the status of the PACU to their superior and will be expected to work together with their superior to ensure all rules and regulations are being followed. Serving as a direct leader to the Assistant Nurse Manager of Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, the Assistant Nurse Director of Post-Anesthesia Care Unit must be readily available to provide their assistance and expertise during any pressing and/or critical situation. The Assistant Nurse Director of Post-Anesthesia Care Unit will also serve as a mentor to the PACU Nurses to ensure each patient is being treated with the upmost care. The Assistant Nurse Director of the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit will be required to manage and provide direct oversight to the PACU that performs various and complex clinical assessments. Equipped with cutting-edge technology within the PACU, the Assistant Nurse Director of Post-Anesthesia Care Unit will be required to be well-versed in any and all medical equipment utilized within their PACU. This individual will have 24/7 coverage of the PACU and must be easily accessible to offer their guidance and subject matter expertise. The Assistant Nurse Director of Post-Anesthesia Care Unit must be well-versed regarding the care being administered within the PACU, and must be able to highlight their team s strengths, and also pinpoint any weaknesses and provide the necessary training to address any matter.
