Responsibilities:
- Sets or oversees the ongoing management of risk parameters and
guardrails for credit risk while ensuring adherence to risk
appetite/limits, and actively inspects and/or designs risk
scenarios to implement decisions.
- Oversees the credit approval process and is accountable for
overall portfolio performance and asset quality, including
underwriting, structuring, and monitoring tasks.
- Conducts analysis, inspects, and/or develops credit risk
reporting for specific products, and monitors and reports on key
indicators for changes in credit quality to communicate to senior
management.
- Oversees adherence to policy and standards and ensures first
line credit officers and managers are appropriately performing due
diligence that the risk is within the bank's defined risk appetite,
using knowledge of stress testing and its applicability to credit
risk.
- Monitors for adherence to industry risk governance, as well as
monitoring for potential operational, reputational, and market risk
issues.
- Identifies risks early that could impact the assigned portfolio
and coordinates with business counterparts to resolve portfolio
issues.

- Portfolio AnalysisBank of America is seeking a Credit Risk
Executive for coverage of the Retail Finance Group, Trade
Receivables Securitization Finance, and Business Capital within
Asset Based Finance. Asset Based Finance provides asset-based
lending solutions to clients in the GIB, GCB, and Business Banking
portfolios. Coverage will be for all of RFG and TRSF units and a
smaller number of Business Capital names.Additional
Responsibilities Include:
- Addressing all credit requests in a timely manner and executing
on management routines necessary to provide sound oversight of risk
activities within assigned markets.
- Proactively managing the portfolio in accordance with the Risk
Framework and Risk Appetite by identifying, escalating, and
resolving emerging risks and portfolio issues in a timely and
professional manner.
- Monitoring asset quality across the portfolio and various
subsectors.
- Leveraging industry expertise and knowledge across the Risk
platform and displaying leadership skills to ensure a strong Risk
Culture exists among our business partners.
- As a subject matter expert, advising Risk colleagues and
business partners who have less experience in asset-based
lending.
- Taking ownership by driving sound client selection and
preventing reputational, operational, and compliance risk.
- Interacting with various levels of management and developing
strong working relationships with business partners to foster a
productive environment for debating issues.
- Driving responsible growth by maintaining an in-depth knowledge
of issues and trends impacting our clients and business partners
and providing solutions to help remove obstacles and resolve
issues.Required Skills:
- Candidates must be experienced and qualified credit or risk
professionals.
- Minimum of 10+ years' experience in commercial lending
including the underwriting and/or approval of credit exposures.
Strong preference for asset-based lending experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication
skills.
- Extensive knowledge of credit policies and procedures.
- Strong leadership skills necessary to implement change and
resolve issues/conflicts in a balanced and professional
